Opening the World of STEM to All
Right now, STEM doesn’t work for everyone. Youth from historically marginalized communities have been excluded from STEM learning experiences, programs and careers. Systems must be reimagined to ensure that young people have access to affirming, joyful learning opportunities in STEM. To meet this goal, ExpandED creates opportunities for youth and educators to cultivate their sense of belonging in the STEM community, supports collaborations where educators share decision-making power with young people and develops and shares relevant content that makes STEM fun.
Our Programs
STEM Educators Academy (SEA)
Classroom and after-school educators join together to nurture STEM interest via relevant and inclusive STEM activities for students in grades 6 – 8.
NYC STEM Education Network
A multi-sector coalition of STEM education stakeholders that catalyzes new ideas and partnerships to expand and enhance STEM learning in NYC.
