Daniele Baierlein

Chief Advancement Officer

Daniele serves as Chief Advancement Officer, managing development, policy, and communications. Prior to joining ExpandED, she served as Executive Director of the Mayor’s Fund to Advance New York City where she raised more than $70 million to support New Yorkers during the pandemic and led the effort to foster public-private partnerships between City agencies, the private sector, and the philanthropic community. With over 20 years of fundraising, policy, and partnership-building experience in New York, Washington, and across the country, she is an expert in building stronger systems that ensure that every young person can thrive. She has a bachelor’s in environmental conservation and political science from the University of New Hampshire. While working full time, Daniele earned a Juris Doctor at the Catholic University of America School of Law. She has been named to City & State’s New York City 40 Under 40 and serves on the board and leads the annual conference planning for Hugh O’Brien Youth Foundation’s NY Metro chapter, a global community of youth volunteers who are dedicated to leadership and service.
