During the next CIN meeting, we will look at how important it is to provide young people with opportunities to take on meaningful roles during their internship experience. Providing substantive roles to young individuals keeps them engaged and ensures that they acquire the essential work readiness skills we want them to develop/strengthen in our programs. Furthermore, there will be a presentation on a variety of Summer Youth Employment Program (SYEP) models and how your program might be able to participate in order to provide and or increase the number of paid opportunities you can provide for young people. This meeting will be virtual, but we look forward to being back in person in April.
