Career Internship Network
About Us
The Career Internship Network (CIN) is a community of practice and learning network for practitioners at cultural institutions in New York City that run high school internship programs. Hosted by ExpandED Schools, CIN has been operating regularly since 2003.
CIN aims to foster high-quality internship experiences rooted in youth development principles for high school students across New York City. Its members include internship practitioners from a diverse range of cultural institutions, such as museums, historical societies, gardens, parks and conservancies, libraries, theaters, and various educational organizations.
CIN offers professional development, peer learning opportunities, structured site visits, technical assistance, and resources to its members. As a peer-driven network, all workshops are developed in consultation with members, who contribute their tools, resources, and best practices to elevate the quality of internships across the field.
