International ELT report cover

In the autumn of 2012, TASC convened 38 education leaders from across the globe for a discussion about transforming the learning day. The goals of the meeting were to develop relationships among education decision-makers and influencers in the U.S. and nations with high-performing schools; to deepen our mutual understanding about how the form and quantity of learning time affects student outcomes; and to exchange information and ideas in order to improve education policy and practice.

This report summarizes the lively and provocative discussion and offers some next steps for transforming how we prepare young people for their lives in a globally inter-connected world. The meeting discussion was recorded graphically, so along with text, the report contains detailed images that show highlights of the discussion.
