One in a Million: Bruno Mars, biodiversity and criminal justice
We’re reaching our 1 millionth student this school year! This blog is part of a series where we journey throughout our expanded learning schools network and get to know some of our students. Meet Christopher, a 6th grader in the Bronx. He’s 1 in a million!
“Recording Studio is my favorite extended day class. We work on a digital audio workstation. I come up with the sounds on the keyboard, and then I put it together. At first, it felt a little hard. But now it’s so much easier. My favorite artists are Bruno Mars and Michael Jackson.
My favorite subject is science because of the experiments. We’re learning about ecosystems and biodiversity - biotic and abiotic factors and how they affect each other in the ecosystems. I’m deciding between becoming an engineer or a lawyer. For engineering, I want to make things that are ecofriendly. As a lawyer, I want to go into criminal justice.”
